Have you ever watch X-Men? The interesting thing aside from the action scenes was the super power those people had. It is not impossible to have those super power, if you experienced a gene mutation. What is gene mutation you ask? Before I answer your question I will tell you about what is a gene.
Genes are a segment of DNA inside our chromosome and they are lined in pairs and sequences. Gene mutation is when one of the sequence has a change which makes a difference with the normal gene. This is why some people has super human powers like flexibility or even felt no pain.
In the other continent of the world, There is a girl named Ashlyn Blocker. She came from Patterson, GA, United State of America. Her mother was cooking noodle and she was helping her to stir those noodle in a hot water boiling pot. Her spoon fell and without thinking she just put her hands in and take the spoon. Her skin was boiling because it turns white, but she doesn't feel the pain of being burned.
This is known as CIPA or Cogenital insensitivity to pain with anhidrosis. It is a gene mutation connected to the neuro in our body. Now what is the connect to the Gene mutation? in our body there is the gene called NTRK1 which has the function to connect the receptor to a certain protein, very essential to the survival of one neuron. Now when a gene mutation happens, NTRK1 cannot give the proper signaling to make sure that the neuron would connect to the protein it needs. If this happens the neutron would self-destruct which makes the person with CIPA cannot feel any

Functions of Phospolipids, Cholesterol, Glycolipids, Glycoprotein, and Proteins in Cell Membrane
Phospolipid : To form micelles surroundd by water, forming bi-layers and the permeability of one cell.
Cholesterol : it gave signal to other membranes to actually work together. It provides mechanical stability to the membranes.
Glycoproteins and Glycolipids : They form hydrogen bonds from water molecules surrounding the cells, stabilizing it. It is also work as a membrane receptor.
Proteins : providing hydrophilic channels through the bi-layer for ions and polar molecules to pass through.

Proteins
Hello guys~ and welcome to my second post!! Today I am going to discuss about ( as you can see on the tittle page) Proteins!! You guys of course know what protein is right? Protein is one of the substances that we needed in our body. It helps us to grow and replace dead cells. You must wonder where do we get those proteins from. Mostly we got the from what we consume just like other substances. What food that contains protein you asks? Food such as meat, seafood, eggs and etc. Just look at the picture below.
Even so, the meaning of Protein is not just that, protein is a large molecules that contains a long chain of amino acids ( 20 types ) or as we know it the monomer of protein. For those who doesn't understand what a monomer is, its just basically a single molecule. Inside a protein there are some important elements that you should know and those are Carbon,Hydrogen, Oxygen, Nitrogen and Sulfur. Here is the structure of a protein.
you should remember that the protein is divided into groups as you see above which gives us the differences of protein than the other structures because it contains the R-group. What is the R-group? The R-group is the amino acid side chain. what is a peptide bond?A peptide bond is a chemical bond formed between two molecules when the carboxyl group of one molecule reacts with the amino group of the other molecule, releasing a molecule of water (H2O).Polypeptides are chains of amino acids. Proteins are made up of one or more polypeptide molecules. The amino acids are linked covalently by peptide bonds. the other thing about it is that the hydrogen is needed to neutralize the bonding. now Protein is made up of 4 structures and that is Tertiary, Secondary, Primary , and Quaternary.

Chapter 1 : Water
So on the first topic I want to tell you about one of the basics elements on earth and in living things, water. What is actually water? from Merriam-Webster's dictionary it is a clear liquid that has no color, taste, or smell, that falls from clouds as rain, that forms streams, lakes, and seas, and that is used for drinking, washing, etc.
Water is needed in our body. Without it we cannot last more than a maximum more than 3 days. Why? Because water is like fuel to a car. If a car has no fuel it won't work same with our body and water. Water makes our metabolic system works and take out the toxic inside our body. Water also transfer the nutrition needed in our body and in our cells. It makes our skin moist and keep the temperature in our body neutral. Water is needed in the bone marrow to make new blood cells and other cells. Water is basically the center of our life.
Now, what is the properties of water? Just like all kinds of elements, water is made of atoms. Since water is a compound made by two hydrogen and one oxygen or in chemistry H2O. Water is unique because it can change its density depending on the form. Water can also change it's form depending on what holds them. Their covalent bond is not equal. This is why water is unique.
Other than that you should also remember that water is a universal solvent. Why? because it can dissolve most substances than other liquids. It can take or carry substances where ever it needs to be taken or not taken. Water has a good chemical properties that makes it a good solvent. Example there is salt pour in water, the negatives and positive charges will be attracted to the opposite in the water particles.
If we are taking about water then we should also talk about cohesion and adhesion in water particle What is it though? The easiest to remember them is that when water is attracted to other water it is cohesion. adhesion is when water is attracted to other substances. If you want to know more about it please just Goggle them up.
Have you ever see the dew drops in the morning or when oil is mixed with water? those things are the common examples of when the surface tension of water changes. When there are dew drops in the morning, the atmosphere tenses which makes the water tenses as well, giving them a shape of water drops. When oil is mixed with water, oil will be on the bottom , this proves their differences in tensions.
These are the things you should now about water. Make sure that your body is not dehydrated or hydrated because it could be dangerous to our body. Please drink the at least 2 jug of water everyday. It will keep us healthy and safe from sickness. Have a great day!

Hellow~
Hellow guys!! My name is unknown and I would like to share lots of things in this blog. I want to share about biology especially because I know that some of you would actually like about biology. so I hope through out this blog I can make you more interested in it.
